Updated list!
Basically I am a theme designer and I used to build setup’s for my themes and upload them to Deviantart, but in the middle of last year what they did is that they disallowed the upload of any file which contains.exe in it.Even if you zip or rar your exe, DA would not allow you to upload.
So I had to find an alternative to this and below is my list of Filehost that allow all kinds of files and provides you with Direct download links or Hotlinks.
1. Ubuntu One
Note: Direct downlod links from ubuntu one won’t work on mobile’s!
It’s my personal favorite, it’s the best of the best’s! Though it’s a new service as compared to mediafire or Dropbox but its way better than both these in my views.
It allows all kind of the files, and the best part is the interface of the site, it’s damn simple.Anyone could upload his/her files to ubuntu one without much efforts.
They also provide a desktop tool so that you can instantly upload your files on their server from your desktop.Even they have iPhone app to sync photos to your ubuntu one storage 🙂
They provide 5GB of free storage which is quite enough!

2.Mediafire
It’s a big name and everyone is used to them.They don’t need any introduction.I like their service very much, they also provide with a desktop tool to upload files instantly!
But my personal problem with them was that ,yes they provided direct download links but when you have downloaded a certain number of times from that link then they will redirect your link to their download page and even many times they ask to fill a captcha.So I migrated to ubuntu one.
But the plus point is they provide 10GB of storage and you can even earn more! Now that’s nice!

3.Dropbox
In terms of Service, they are the best! Their alexa website rank is under 100! They are providing there service from a long time and nearly everyone has tried them.
Simply the best! But the problem with them is they provide 20Gb/day bandwidth which may be insufficient for a business purpose, in that case you need to buy the service 🙁
But they provide 2gb of initial storage and you can earn more!

4.Bitcasa
Relatively new service than compared to dropbox, mediafire but easily catches attention!

Very nice service! Offers 15GB of cloud storage for free! Files can be accessed anywhere like mobiles, tablets, PC etc.
It’s application is available for almost every platform like iPhone, windows , linux etc.
Their tagline is:

7.Ge.tt
Simply called Gett File Sharing.Easy to use, you can even upload without signup or login! They also provide iPhone application.
They have a drawback that files will be deleted after 30 if it was inactive from past 30 days(means no download in past 30 days) 🙁
Still pretty good service! They provide 2GB free storage.
8.Deviantart’s Sta.Sh
Sta.sh is deviantART’s new upload and publishing platform — home to all of your images, writings, Flash/animations, and everything in between. Once you’ve uploaded something via Sta.sh, you’ll be provided a special URL. This URL is known only to you and can be shared with others.It’s pretty useful service for member of deviantart.
It requires that you have an account on Deviantart!
